If you haven’t done it yet, it’s time! It’s past time.
On April 23, WordPress version 4.2 was released. Shortly after that, WordPress released two security updates. The current version is WordPress 4.2.2.
Yeah, those are just numbers to a lot of people. Maybe you don’t care. But you should. Because every version of WordPress before 4.2.2 has a huge security hole in it.
That’s right every version.
Until 4.2.2 was released, the security gap was kept under wraps. It wasn’t widely known among hackers that it even existed. But now it’s out in the open. And you can bet that the bad guys are scanning the web looking for any site that’s still running an old version. It’s just a matter of time before they find you.
So do yourself a favor. Update your WordPress website to the latest version. Do it today.
